Oh, hello Monday. I don’t know about you, but Monday’s are much easier on me than Fridays. Yes, fridays mean the weekend is in sight, but they also carry the exhaustion of an entire week. Monday is still holding onto the relaxation of the weekend. Yes? Well, I believe it.
This weekend was so nice. Friday I went grocery shopping, met family and friends at P.F. Changs for din din, sat alone for 20 minutes waiting for family and friends (thanks guys), and then watched movies and cleaned with my dog. Saturday I slept in, and by sleep in I mean slept till 7:30am when my dog started whining, and got ready. My mom came at about 9:30 and we unloaded a bunch of stuff, then started our 2 hour drive to IKEA. I decided to take a detour through Cincinnati, I’ve never driven in Cincinnati, found my way back to the interstate and got stuck in traffic. Made it to IKEA hungry and angry at every driver I had encountered for the last hour. And became completely overwhelmed. I didn’t like it because of this, there were a lot of people and a lot of things. That does not mesh well with my personality. I made some purchases. Drove 2 hours home. Put together a coffee table as my mom watched. Met my brother for Mother’s Day dinner. Went back home, and for the rest of the weekend rotated building things, decorating things, cleaning things, cooking things, and watching movies. It was awesome!
These are my silhouettes. I have been planning on these since before I even found my apartment. I found them on an awesome blog by Katie Sokoler. Check her out. I had planned to do them with pictures of friends, but I’m horrible at remembering to get them developed, so I did them with magazine cut outs. I really love them and plan on adding more in the future, it just turned out to be a longer process than I had imagined, completely worth it though. My next project is recovering some chairs for my living room. I’m pretty nervous about it, but just need to face it. So tomorrow I am getting fabric and starting the process! Any advice will be appreciated.
That’s all I have for now. Enjoy your Monday.
